Hampshire Police have caught and prosecuted over 88 drivers, the majority for using their mobile phones whilst driving, during a week long operation that ended on Friday 18 May 2012.

The roads most targeted were the M27, M3 and M40 in our area. The operation was also carried out in conjunction with Thames Valley Police.

Many other motorists were prosecuted for a variety of other traffic offences and many received fixed penalty notices or informal cautions.

The Police used an unmarked Scania lorry cab as one of the four vehicles used in the operation. The high position of the cab meant that the Police could detect offences that they would otherwise not have been able to from a police car; at least 28 offences that would otherwise have occurred without them even knowing!

If you were caught and prosecuted in this operation and face Court or would just like a free telephone consultation about any road traffic offences – act now!
